Hair is a remarkable but imperfect testing substance. Not every strand grows at the same rate, and different areas of your pet's body can receive slightly different nutrient distributions. This means a sample taken from your pet's neck may produce a marginally different result than one taken from their back — and both can be accurate.

If you've tested your pet more than once and noticed slight variation, consider combining or cross-referencing both reports. Each result reflects what that particular sample communicated, not a contradiction of the other.

Real scenario we've encountered: *A customer submitted two samples from the same pet under two different names simultaneously, then demanded a refund when the results weren't identical. The reality is that slight variation between samples is expected and is actually consistent with how the science of bio-resonance works - This is not evidence that it doesn't.

Absolutely, and this is one of the most important things to understand before testing. Home collection introduces variables that are impossible to fully control, including:
- Hair from a shared brush or pet bed that contains strands from multiple animals
- Human hair accidentally mixed into the sample
- Environmental contaminants on the pet's coat (dirt, product residue, etc.)

Unless a sample is collected in a controlled environment, i.e.: clean pet, clean tools, no cross-contamination -it cannot be held to the standard of a laboratory-controlled specimen. This is true for every company offering hair-based testing.

Best practice: Collect directly from your pet using clean hands or gloves, from a single animal, away from other pets or shared bedding. Collect clean hair directly from your scalp or body making sure that the hair is not contaminated by with styling sprays or gels or any other topically used products.

Hair testing is a wellness screening tool, not a clinical diagnostic. It is designed to give you actionable insights and a starting point for exploring your pet's sensitivities and nutritional needs - not to replace veterinary diagnosis or medical diagnosis or serve as controlled scientific proof of any condition.

Anyone using a home-collected hair sample as definitive scientific evidence - in either direction - is misunderstanding what the test is designed to do.

Our equipment pulses specific frequencies into the submitted sample and measures the energetic response. The system reads what the sample returns and generates your report based on those responses.

Here's something important to understand about this: Because the machine responds to any material placed in the testing disc - a coin, a sponge, synthetic fiber -receiving a result alone* doesn't validate or invalidate the test. What matters is that the result is generated from a legitimate, properly collected biological sample from your pet.

We've seen people submit stuffed animal hair and claim that getting a result proves it's a scam. It doesn't. It proves the machine is functioning exactly as designed - it responds to whatever has mass and is placed in the disc. The meaningful data comes from a real sample, collected correctly.

Think of it this way: a thermometer will register a temperature whether you place it under your tongue or in a glass of water. That doesn't mean the thermometer is broken - it means you need to use it correctly to get meaningful data. The same logic applies here.

When a proper biological sample from your pet is submitted, the frequency response carries real, interpretable information. That's the foundation our reports are built on.

Any company using this class of equipment operates within the same parameters and faces the same limitations around home collection variability and testing methodology. These are industry-wide considerations.

We genuinely want to help you get the most out of your results. If something doesn't look right or you have questions about your report, reach out to our support team. A thoughtful conversation can often clarify what you're seeing and help you use the results more effectively.

UCARI hair testing is a wellness screening tool intended to support, not replace diagnostics or guidance from your veterinarian or physician.

Because intolerance-style symptoms can be delayed, it’s often hard to pinpoint what’s contributing to discomfort. UCARI is designed to help identify patterns so you can make more structured elimination and reintroduction decisions.

UCARI screens for potential food and environmental stressors, personal care ingredients your skin may be sensitive to, and possible nutritional imbalances. Your results are organized in a clear, color-coded report.

That’s up to you. Many customers use their report to guide a more intentional elimination and reintroduction plan, or share it with a nutrition professional, coach, or healthcare provider as helpful context.

Intolerances can change over time. Many people remove high-reactive items for a period, then reintroduce strategically to see what their body tolerates. If symptoms are severe, persistent, or worsening, it’s important to talk with a licensed healthcare provider.

Non-food intolerances refer to everyday exposures that aren’t foods—like soaps, shampoos, fragrances, makeup, pollen, dust, and dander. Once you identify potential triggers, you can decide what to avoid or swap.

Skin sensitivities describe how your skin may react to substances that touch it—like lotions, sunscreen, detergents, and cosmetics. Reactions can vary from mild irritation to more noticeable discomfort.

Metal toxicity refers to an excessive build-up of certain metals in the body. Potential sources can include environmental exposure, food, or other external factors. If you suspect a serious exposure, consult a healthcare provider for appropriate testing.

People often explore intolerance testing when symptoms feel recurring or hard to connect to a single cause—especially digestive discomfort, skin issues, headaches, congestion, fatigue, or brain fog. UCARI is designed to help identify patterns so next steps are more structured.

Allergies involve an immune response and can be immediate and severe. Intolerances are typically non-immune and may be delayed, showing up hours or days after exposure. UCARI tests for intolerance-style reactions, not allergies.

Yes. Many customers use results to reduce “trial and error” and test changes more systematically over time. Keeping a simple food/symptom note during elimination and reintroduction can be very helpful.

Yes. Many customers share results with a provider or coach to support clearer decisions. UCARI is not a diagnosis and doesn’t replace medical care.

Pet owners often explore testing for patterns like itching, recurring ear issues, digestive upset, licking/chewing paws, or inconsistent stool. Results are commonly used to guide diet and exposure choices.

Some customers see items on a report that their pet hasn’t eaten recently (or at all). UCARI is best used as directional insight—so you can make structured changes and observe how your pet responds over time.

If your pet has a diagnosed condition, is on medication, or has severe or worsening symptoms, it’s a good idea to keep your veterinarian in the loop before making major diet changes.

Most customers start by removing the highest-reactive items for a period of time, then reintroduce strategically to see what their body can tolerate. UCARI is designed to provide direction—so your next steps feel informed instead of experimental.

Not necessarily. Many people find that as they reduce the biggest triggers and support a steadier baseline, their tolerance can change. The goal is to learn what your body handles best—and make choices that feel sustainable.

Elimination diets are often generic. UCARI is built to be personalized, so you can focus your elimination and reintroduction around your own results—and build better body awareness along the way.

You can—just know it may be harder to control ingredients. If you eat out occasionally, aim for simpler meals and use your results as a guide. Balance matters, and progress doesn’t require perfection.

No washing is required. For best results, we recommend your hair sample does not contain gel, hairspray, or heavy styling products.

Yes. Any body hair can be used. If using shorter body hair, include about 25 strands for best results.

We recommend mailing your sample as soon as possible after collection. For best consistency, try not to wait longer than two weeks.

Many customers choose to re-test every 3–4 months, especially after making changes, to see how patterns may shift over time.

UCARI kits are suitable for ages 10 and above.

No. UCARI tests for intolerances or sensitivities, not allergies. If you suspect an allergy, consult a licensed healthcare provider.

Hair collection is non-invasive and convenient. UCARI uses the hair sample as the input for its screening process, and results are designed to guide clearer elimination and reintroduction decisions.

In most cases, treated hair is still usable. If you’re unsure, contact care@ucari.com and we’ll help.

Usually 10–15 strands of hair is enough. If your hair is very short or you’re using body hair, include additional strands for best results.

After testing, your hair sample is discarded as part of our standard process.

No. UCARI is a screening tool designed to help identify potential patterns and guide next steps. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.

No changes are required to complete the test. If you’re considering changes for health reasons, talk with your healthcare provider first.

That can happen. Results are best used as a structured starting point: remove a few high-reactive items, track changes, then reintroduce intentionally. If symptoms are severe or persist, consult a licensed healthcare provider.

No. You don’t need to intentionally consume or apply items before testing. UCARI is designed to provide directional insight so you can make more informed choices about what to test and change next.
